Light can be thought as a wave and as a particle: this is known in physics as the Wave-Particle Duality.
Light has a dual nature; in some cases it behaves as a wave,
and in other cases it behaves as a particle.
The name of the particle associated to light is called a
photon.
The electron, for instance, exhibits a wave-particle duality too.
