The human eye is only sensitive to the wavelengths that lie in the "visible" part of the electromagnetic energy spectrum (400 to 700 nm): this is known as visible light.
Humans cannot see infrared or ultraviolet
radiations as they lie beyond the limits of the visible spectrum. But some
insects can!
