The Fizzz of Scattering

Scattering is a complex phenomenon arising from the interaction between an electromagnetic radiation such as light with small particles or molecules.

The incident radiation is partially deflected in all directions by the small particles.

There are several types of scattering depending on what happens to the incident radiation. We will only mention:

  • Rayleigh scattering
  • Mie scattering
